About ComplyCreate
Last reviewed: April 2026
ComplyCreate is a HIPAA education and compliance-resource hub run by a small editorial team of entrepreneurs and operators with years of experience building healthcare technology. We started ComplyCreate and our sister sites because the options for producing a routine HIPAA document were — and still are — stuck at two extremes: hire a healthcare attorney for $500 to $2,500 a document, or pay an ongoing subscription to a compliance platform that charges more than the document is worth.
We think most healthcare organizations — solo therapists, small dental practices, telehealth startups, SaaS vendors — deserve straightforward answers and affordable tools. ComplyCreate is the answer to the informational gap. The sister sites are the answer to the document gap.
Why We Exist
Healthcare organizations face two distinct challenges with HIPAA:
- The information problem — HIPAA's text is dense. Figuring out whether you're a covered entity, a business associate, or neither; which documents you need; and when deadlines apply requires reading federal regulation most people don't have time for. ComplyCreate translates that into plain English.
- The document problem — once you know what you need, getting a compliant, signable document is either expensive or slow. Our sister sites fix that: BAAGenerator.com generates HIPAA Business Associate Agreements, and NPPGenerator.com generates HIPAA Notices of Privacy Practices — each $49 one-time.
What ComplyCreate Is — and Isn't
ComplyCreate is a content hub. It publishes educational HIPAA guides, compliance checklists, regulatory updates, and a self-assessment quiz. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and is not a replacement for qualified healthcare counsel on complex matters specific to your situation.
When you read a ComplyCreate guide and are ready to generate an actual HIPAA document, we will tell you exactly where to go: BAAGenerator.com for BAAs, NPPGenerator.com for NPPs.
How We Research and Review
Every ComplyCreate guide goes through a four-step process before publication:
- Regulation cross-check. Every claim about what HIPAA requires is traced to a specific CFR section (45 CFR Part 160 or 164, 42 CFR Part 2 where relevant). We cite the source inline.
- HHS guidance alignment. Where HHS has published formal guidance, FAQs, or model language, we verify our content matches current agency interpretation — not outdated summaries.
- OCR enforcement review. For compliance topics, we review relevant OCR resolution agreements and civil money penalty determinations to ensure we're reflecting how the rules are actually enforced, not just how they read on paper.
- Twice-annual re-review. Every page is reviewed at minimum twice per year, and immediately after significant rulemaking (such as the February 2026 Part 2 Final Rule). Published and last-reviewed dates appear on every content page.
